We are currently working on patching a few issues (and adding some new features) with the forums. If you find something you believe is a bug, or have a suggestion, please let us know on this thread and we will review it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your assistance! -

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This issue has been resolved

The new forum does not have all the posts in a thread -- for example, compare both of the following links related to the thread "Degradion Performance 4.1 over 4.0" which was started yesterday:
New Forum: http://forums.developer.nvidia.com/devforum/discussion/4436/degradion-performance-4-1-over-4-0
In Old Forum: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222547
What is even more disturbing is that Nvidia employees are using the old forum!

hi this is yogi when im working in max for some simulations it is showing some error like nvidia physx is not installed so i downloaded and installed it even then it showing same trouble ,nd my graphic card is quadro 4000 nd the version is 4.3.790 & i m unable to find ( 4.3.790 version ) for nvidia physx how to solve this trouble ?...........
-
Yesterday I tried to post a quote with a Physics Visual Debugger file (.pvd) attached.
The file were 985KB.
When I tried to attach the file, the forum told me that the file is not supported...
It is strange that nvidia's physx files are not supported in nvidias's forum...
That's the information I wanted to tell you.
Thank you, bye.

I am unable to type in the "Body box". I can paste into the Body box, but I do not see what I have pasted until after the post is submitted!
Alex what OS and browser are you using?
-
Windows 7 64 bit; IE 8.0.7600....
-
I'm sorry for the delay. I'm using the same OS and browser. Can you add a screenshot?

I have cut-and-pasted this line, but the input text-box is all white. Notice in the image that the mouse pointer is still an arrow even though I have clicked in the input box, did a right click, and selected paste. Notice that the size of the input box has increased after the paste.

We just upgraded our forums to the latest build. Can you please try again and let me know if you continue to have issues? If you do, can you please try a different browser like chrome, or firefox and let me know if it works?
Thank you for your patience regarding this issue -
Things are OK now! Thanks.

[Edit: Please disregard! I finally found it. You indeed hide it very well!]
Hi,
(Sorry for the cross post, but I saw this thread only after I had posted under General (Win + Linux tags)
how good do they hide the "Notify of reply"-button that I can´t find it?
It´s a PITA to have to check over and over again!
Thx

mcleary,
What kind of problems are you having? Are there any error messages?
-
Tony Carrillo,
In any post that I try to accept an answer I get the following message:
Temporarily Unavailable
The website that you're trying to reach is having technical difficulties and is currently unavailable.
We are aware of the issue and are working hard to fix it. Thank you for your patience. -
mcleary,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This issue should now be resolved. -
SungRyul,
This thread is for "forum" bugs only. Please find a more appropriate spot for this type of question.
Thank you -
At last bug free

Tony, please see my post:

-
markot84,
I replied to that thread, but please try to post those comments here instead of linking to other discussions. Makes it a lot easier if all the bugs are in one location. :)
Thanx -
Budai,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will research the issue and get it resolved ASAP -
Tony, I just typed "GTX 680" in the search box next to this discussion and there were no results. This discussion thread should have come up, as it was started over two weeks ago and contains this search string in both the title and the body of posts:
http://developer.nvidia.com/devforum/discussion/comment/16886#Comment_16886
Also, as I was typing my latest post to that thread, I kept getting "Server not available, error 503..." messages every few seconds. These messages kept popping up in a blue box at the top of the page (slightly to the right) and also in a dark misformatted rectangle partially obscuring my message being typed at the bottom.
Can you look into these issues?
-
Mark,
This is not a bug in the search functionality of the forums, but it is a limitation that we are working on. The first word in the search field needs to be greater than 4 characters, and your search is only 3. If you change the order to performance gtx 680, you will see your post. We understand this is a severe limitation in the search functionality and are working diligently to resolve the issue.
As far as your second issue with the "Server not available error" this is do to your comments being saved as drafts as you type. If there is a communication communication interruption during that process you will see that error. If you continue to experience this error, please let me know. -
Thanks, Tony. Unfortunately, with a min. of 4 characters required for the search, it will be difficult for me to find all discussions pertaining to the GTX 680 (i.e. the ones not only about its performance). When do you expect this search limitation will be removed?
-
Mark,
At this time we do not have an ETA of when we will be able to have a workaround for this restriction. It is high on our priority list and we hope to have it fixed ASAP. Thank you for your patience. -
Should we receive email notifications of comments in thread we create? Or followups to our own comments? I didn't receive any and missed a discussion.
Also, when clicking the star to bookmark a thread I got this today:
"This server is experiencing technical problems. Please try again in a few moments. Thanks for your continued patience, and we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Error 503 Service Unavailable
Service Unavailable
XID: 2576122777"
Finally a suggestion: You might want to change the default comment sort from "votes" to "date added". I just thought the ordering was completely broken till I noticed that on this thread. I don't think that's a common default in web forums, it makes discussions unfollowable.
