Bugs in .dds photoshop plugin
  • Hello,

I have encountered a few bugs in the NVIDIA photoshop plugin that handles .dds files. Namely:

-A cube map loads properly, and a texture with mipmaps loads properly, but a cubemap with mipmaps loads with bad offsets, each side overlapping the previous and each second side vertically offset from the previous.

-If a cube map has no non-black alpha pixels on side 6, the entire alpha channel is scrapped and the .dds is loaded as if there is no alpha channel at all. Presence or (lack thereof) of pixels on sides 1-5 do not have this effect

Our team could really use these fixes. I am more than willing to make these fixes myself if given access to the source, (and so is the company employing me), and I am equally willing to share the results with the community - I have seen others complaining about the former issue on forums here and there, so there are definitely people out there who would use it. I have already fixed some glitches in the mipster script which is included with the package, and would supply these as well. Please let me know if there is any way to get in touch with or get involved with someone who can help me out!

    Thanks,

    -Josh
