Hello
I’m a student working on my thesis about doing reinforcement learning with a Peoplebot platform robot that has 2 additional Cython Gamma 1500 robotic arms. The initial task outlines would be to pick up some object from a table and move it to a goal location.
Although the main workstation at school has ample computational resources, I want to be able to do work from home in order to be more productive, so I want to put together a reasonable cost setup that allows me to do RL tasks at home.
Currently I’m considering either RTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM or RTX 4060 TI with 16GB VRAM. The 4060 TI is nearly twice as much where I live.
Could I get by with the 3060 or should i get the 4060 TI with its 16GB of memory instead? Any other suggestions or observations?
First post on this forum so apologies in advance if this is not the place for such questions…
