If you can run

$ gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! nvoverlaysink

Please try the sample:
OpenCV Video Capture with GStreamer doesn't work on ROS-melodic - #3 by DaneLLL
You would need to modify width and height accordingly.
