Under standard desktop usage and approx. after ~20-30 mplayer+vdpau (decode+overlay) invocations, the Settings Panel indicates that “Used Dedicated Memory” goes to 90+%. From the moment this happens, large vdpau surfaces cease to work until next X-shutdown/restart. Please note that all mplayer processes exit normally (at least as far as I can see).
This does not happen under 355.11 or previous driver versions.
Attached nvidia-bug-report was taken with memory idling at 91%.
BTW, is there any simple way to force-clean allocated video memory under Xorg?
