535 Monitor on nvidia quadro does not power off

while the other monitor connected to the Mother board powers off, if PC is left alone.

The monitor on the nvidia card is a Lenovo L1951p wide Monitor.
There is a DP to DVI digital video input adapter between the nvidia videocard and the monitor

A time consuming observation shows, that the attached monitor turns off, when the screens are darkened by the mate power manager. However at a later time with the screen still dark, the LED turns from yellow to green again. This is a state, where the background light is energized again.
