Try the workaround mentioned above with adding VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_EXT_mesh_shader,VK_NV_raw_access_chains to the game’s launch options. Once it’s available, also worth trying the 610 driver, so far initial testing has seen the XID109 crashes I had with many UE5 games fixed for me 🤞

This workaround allowed all the UE5 games I have to launch. Thank you very much! I felt like I was beating my head against a wall the past week. I have much to learn.

I’ve rolled back to 595.71 since my reported issue happens pretty consistently, near as I can tell the issue may trigger when flipping between applications though I have no real proof to claim it’s the cause. Since rolling back the issue has yet to appear however and will wait for the next release.

@evict_disengage007 Can you please check with the latest driver 610.43.04? We are unable to reproduce the issue with it.

My RTX 6000 pro crashed on that driver: RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell: silent total system freeze under bursty GPU load — no Xid, zero PCIe replays/AER, cold-boot recovery (595.71.05, Ubuntu 24.04) Is it a known issue or I got a bad card?
