60 seconds delay in shutdown

Hi, we are creating a product using NVDIA and the system is required to shutdown quickly when an external signal is send (similar to pressing the power button). However, these is a 60 seconds delay once this shutdown signal is triggered, anybody got any ideal how to remove it?

Since Jetson platform does not support acpi, it is difficult to create a custom event-based shut down.
And to change ‘DefaultTimeoutStopSec=1s’ value in ‘/etc/systemd/system.conf’ also does not work.

Anybody know how to do a no delay controlled shutdown on Jetson?

Hi Xavier_Harkonnen,

Are you using the devkit or custom board for Orin NX?
What’s your Jetpack version in use?

Could you share the both dmesg and syslog when you triggered the shutdown signal to check if something causes the 60 seconds delay?
