Hi!
Is there an A16 successor on the horizon?
We need lots of video de-/encoders per PCIe slot and some video compute in between. The A16 was interesting but did run a bit hot. So I’m thinking a successor based on the TSMC process might do the trick?
You will understand that we cannot comment on future products. Why not looking at the L4? More encode/decode and more compute performance. You can run multiple L4s in a system.
Sorry for the delay, I missed the notification.
Our requirements for the rest of the system are not that high, so a high-end PC is doing just fine. However, newer PCs only have very few PCIe slots, one or maybe two. Even regular server boards come with fewer and fewer expansion slots. Only GPU servers offer 8-10 slots - but the price difference between them and high-end PCs is eye-watering.
Therefore, a multi-GPU such as the A16 is the right solution for our problem.
Ok, I understand that you cannot talk about (potential) products/solutions which are too far behind the horizon. I was fishing for something that is close enough to release so that you can talk about.
Need to find a different solution then.
