Aarch64 Pascal Kernel Modules to remain broken?

R580 branch, last to ostensibly support GP107 cards, continues to falter on rockchip and broadcom systems.
Open kernel modules have been patched by the community[1] to achieve actual functionality for Turing and beyond, but as those drivers require GSP firmware to be always on, these patches won’t be effective for Pascal cards like the 10 series.
With the shift into R590 appearing to be the only path for developers, will the official kernel modules for R580 on Aarch64 (where GSP can be disabled) remain eternally broken?

How often, if ever, are community patches for open modules packaged into the proprietary release? I see that an official revision to the 580 branch was released last week, so clearly it is still seeing some maintenance.

Optimizing performance of legacy hardware on arm is a valid means of keeping functional cards out of the scrap heap.
