It is something wrong with nvbuild.sh script.
It supposed to be duplicate toolchain path.

Could you check this?

I have question.

I was facing an error when building the Jetpack 5.0.2 kernel source.

Are there any packages that need to be additionally installed when preparing hostpc?

The hostpc ubuntu version is 18.04.
I added flex and bison.
Please confirm.

What error? I only see the log says the toolchain is not there.

Hello,

Is kernel build still possible on ubuntu 18.04 host pc?

sudo apt install flex
sudo apt install bison
After installing flex and bison with

I built the kernel.
It builds successfully.
The build was successful and failed to log the failure log.

I asked if the instructions for installing those two packages should be added to the jetson linux developer guide.

CHK include/generated/compile.h
Kernel sources compiled successfully.

If you use kernel config tools like menuconfig or nconfig, then you will also want:
sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev
