Adding Additional SD Card for File Storage

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to add another SD card other than the one used for booting the image in my custom board.
How is the easiest and correct way to add this?
Is the SD card better connect via SPI?and does this way the software drive will detect it as external storage?
Or is it better to use USB to SD card converter so it is interfaced via USB.

Best Regards,
Widy

I don’t know what is best, but I have seen people successfully use either a USB thumb drive or USB SATA drive for extra storage, e.g., mounting on “/home” or “/usr/local”. I don’t see any reason why a USB SD card reader would not also work.

NOTE: I am thinking of the dev kit carrier board which does not natively have two SD card slots.
