After later boot, GPU disappeared from nvidia-smi

DGX Spark 2, serial from field diagnostics if available.
DGX Spark field diagnostics previously passed on 2026-06-11.
After later boot, GPU disappeared from nvidia-smi.
Secure Boot disabled.
PCI still detects NVIDIA device 000f:01:00.0.
NVIDIA modules and /dev/nvidia* devices exist.
nvidia-smi reports: No devices were found.
Docker GPU test reports CUDA failed to initialize, error 999.
Kernel repeatedly reports:

  • NVRM: RmInitAdapter: Cannot initialize GSP firmware RM
  • ksec2PrepareBootCommands_GB20B: SEC2 secure boot partition timed out
  • NV_ERR_TIMEOUT
  • rm_init_adapter failed, device minor number 0

Please share the nvidia-bug-report from the machine in the failed state and the field diag you said passed. Running the field diag again after the error started appearing would be helpful too
