I encountered a display issue with my NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit. The screen worked perfectly on JetPack 5.1.4, but after I flashed it with JetPack 6.2, it displayed the NVIDIA logo and boot log during startup before turning into a blue screen. I used the l4t-create-default-users.sh script to bypass the OEM configuration and was able to log in to the system via serial port or SSH.
I made no hardware changes; the only difference was the upgrade from JetPack 5.1.4 to JetPack 6.2. I’d like to know what changes JetPack 6.2 introduced to the display compared to JetPack 5.1.4 that caused my screen to stop displaying properly.
Yes, I understand that you’re suggesting the issue might be due to the adapter. However, I’d like to confirm why it worked fine on JetPack 5.1.4 but not on JetPack 6.2.
I’m using a DP to HDMI adapter from the UGREEN brand, which I purchased on the JD.com platform. I’m not sure if you can check the specific parameters, but here’s the product link: https://3.cn/2dBQL-DE.
Hi WayneWWW,
I’ve tested with three different monitors, and all of them still display a blue screen. These monitors are from different brands: Coocaa, HP, and BenQ. However, all three of these monitors have relatively low resolutions, only 1080p. But I don’t think this should matter.
Good morning, Wayne.
Today, I switched to a DP male to HDMI female adapter, also from UGREEN, and the screen displays normally after connecting it. I think the issue might have been with my DP male to HDMI male cable. But how can I know in advance whether my adapter will work properly?
