" 1. Ensure that the developer kit is powered off." means disconnecting the regular power line & the device only depends on OTG USB power supply to run as recovery mode?
If not, the regular power is supplied and we need to shutdown Linux under command.
But what if we can’t boot to kernel ?
@WayneWWW
So, I just need to remove the power cable, connect OTG USB line and follow the operation steps above to get into recovery mode. Is it correct ?
It is weird that I used to make it if our customized carrier board is connected to power line.
Which part of circuit should we check ?
Please clarify whether you are using a NV devkit or a custom board first.
A custom board case might have different behavior. For example, if there is auto-power-on design, then device will directly boot up when you connect a power cable.
What OTG line you are talking about here? We have 2 type C port and both support OTG. But only one port is the flash port. The one that is opposite to the power cable one.
If you directly connect to the wrong one, then it won’t have recovery mode even after you press those buttons.
Do we need to use “lsusb” command to check under host ? What device would we see ?
You will see a device from NVIDIA corp
Is there console message when enter recovery mode ?
No, the log will only start once the flash starts.
