AGX Orins No Longer Flash

Hello I have been using the AGX Orin 64GB platform on a custom carrier board using JP 5.1.1. We have been able to flash multiple Orins successfully for many months now. We have ordered a new batch and all are failing to flash with our production image. We have confirmed nothing has changed on the carrier board we use and our flashing host machine.

We are using the l4t_backup_restore.sh tool to flash but we keep getting the error: “You are trying to flash images from a board model that does not match the current board you’re flashing onto.” I have attached the full flash log called FlashLog.txt to this post.

I believe other customers have also had this issue from post1 and also from post2. I have followed the guidance from post2 and commented out the if [ ${BOARD_MATCH} = false ]; from tools/backup_restore/nvrestore_partitions.sh.

After doing this it appears to flash successfully and I get the message nvrestore_partitions.sh Successful restore of partitions on target board. Operation finishes. You can manually reset the device I have attached the full flash log called FlashLog2.txt to this post. However the system fails to fully boot and over serial debug I get the message ERROR: mmcblk0p1 not found I have attached the serial boot up log called SerialLog.txt to this post.

I have confirmed that our new batch are the same model type as our old batch and using lsusb in FR mode they all have a device ID of 7023

Has anyone been able to find a solution to this or know of a PCN with the AGX Orin 64G that may cause this issue?

Could it be to do with the change of the eMMC to Western digital SDINBDG4-64GB-1212 eMMC
