AGX Xavier HDMI forces output resolution 1280*1024

Hi
I want to make the AGX Xavier device , HDMI froces output resolution 1280*1024 without EDID, how can i do this?
By the way, i also want to delete the function about HDMI 's EDID

Thank you very much!

Not possible. Our driver only accepts from EDID.

You can provide a fake edid to driver. But the whole code flow here is still same.

It is also not making sense to delete the read of edid. For example, you bought a monitor that only supports HD resolution and you say “let’s output a UHD resolution on this monitor”.

It is just not able to work. That is why EDID is needed.

If you really want such function, you can study and modify the driver code by yourself. It won’t be supported in official release.

Hi WayneWWW
Thank you for your fast reply.

what’s meaning ? Can you give me a example? And what should i do for this.

Thank you

Download the kernel source code and check below page. There is a force edid method here.

https://elinux.org/Jetson_TX2/r28_Display_debug

This means you provid a fake edid which only has 1280*1024 mode to the driver, and it will try to output it only.
