On this blog I have noticed a sentence on a renderer called CentiLeo:
I wonder if it is a really working app or some fake-video. The results from recent papers provided the tests on Boeing777 that were much slower (around 100x slower) or showing something that is not too hard to render. But this one, on a desktop device, path traces the many gigabytes of data surprisingly fast.
The beast or fake? It seems they don’t hide their app work-cycle or otherwise it is a very cool video-montage to make Intel nervous.
To my mind the only advantage of Intel over GPU in computing is a larger army of C++ programmers and extendable RAM.
