Appending Cnfigauration files for optimized USB Performance

Hello Guys,

I hope you all are doing well.
I am working with the Nvidia Jetson Xavier NX and I wish to use USB3 based CMOS cameras for a project and the necessary requirement for the camera to work is thet the usbcore.usbfs memory should be 256 mb. By default it is 16 mb. I tried to change it once by adding “usbcore.usbfs_memory_mb=256” to the APPEND line in the “/boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf” file. Also the line was hashed out before and it did not make any changes so I unhashed it and then the system crashed (on boot it would stop at black screen with a blinking cursor) and my memory card was corrupted and had to buy a new one. Please suggest a safe and releiable way of doing this.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

What does that mean “Also the line was hashed out before and it did not make any changes so I unhashed it”?

Which release are you using?

Hey Wayne. Thanks for the reply !
By hashed out i ment to say commented out.
But anyways I found my mistake and problem is solved.
Thanks
