Hello. I want to connect two AGX Orins using the 10 GbE interface. On the dev kit carrier board, the XFI/SFI interface is connected to AQR113C PHY providing 10GBASE-T. Since I am not interested in connecting an RJ45 cable and another 10GBASE-T deice to this port, I am wondering if having the PHY IC is even necessary.
Question: Can the XFI/SFI interface of one Jetson be connected directly to the XFI/SFI of another without any PHY ICs?
If not, and I need to have two PHYs connected to each other on my board, then what type of PHY would be the best for this application?
