Beam.smp eating entire cpu in license server 3.6.1

Currently running version 3.6.1 of the license server in Linux KVM (Proxmox) and in almost every instance of a fresh boot of the VM, a process called beam.smp will eat the entire cpu. Top reports something like 160% and the Proxmox admin page shows over 100% cpu usage as well with six cores allocated.

With this process like this, loading the web ui is impossible, ssh will sometimes work but when it does, I need to force kill that beam.smp process multiple times until it returns to something else under 10%. From that point forward the VM and license server are responsive, until it’s reboot and then the process becomes a headache again.

What is the process? Why is eating all available cores its default? Did not have this issue with an older release of the DLS. I don’t recall what build version that was though. The upgrade from the older release to this current 3.6.1 was done in place through the webui
