Isaac Sim can effectively simulate robot models composed of rigid bodies. Can Isaac Sim perform biomechanical simulations for musculoskeletal models similar to OpenSim, and use Isaac Lab for reinforcement learning or imitation learning training on musculoskeletal models? If this is not currently possible, is there consideration to incorporate biomechanical simulation into future versions?
Thanks for posting this. As long as the biomechanics can be modeled with our PhysX extension and tools, Isaac Sim should be able to simulate such a model at least in an approximate way. Isaac Lab definitely can help you train RL and IL models.
