Boot Problems with Ubuntu, RTX 2070 and Supermicro

Hi,

I have the following configuration:

  • Supermicro X11SCA-F
  • Intel i9
  • RTX 2070 super
  • Ubuntu 18.04.3

When I install the recommended nvidia-driver-450 the system does not boot anymore. The booting process stops after a /dev … clean … files … blocks message.
I can go into the recovery mode and then say continue booting and it will boot into the GUI.
I tried several driver versions.
