Hello,
I would like to explore the possibility of creating a bootable Drive OS image on an external storage device (e.g., USB, NVMe SSD, or SD card) and configuring the system to boot from that external media instead of the internal memory.
My queries for this are:
-
External Boot Support: Does Drive Orin support booting from an external storage device such as a USB drive, NVMe SSD, or SD card? If so, which interfaces (USB, PCIe, etc.) support booting?
-
Bootloader Configuration: Since the initial BootROM execution is fixed to internal storage, is there a supported method to modify the UEFI bootloader to redirect the kernel and root filesystem loading to an external device?
-
Boot Order Modification: Can the UEFI settings be modified to prioritize external storage? If yes, are there specific UEFI commands or boot configuration changes required?
-
Flashing Process: If external boot is possible, what would be the recommended process for flashing and configuring Drive OS on an external device?
