Brightness not working on Debian 11

Hi everyone. I just installed a fresh Debian 11 on my laptop and am already facing problems. Brightness bar is present but changing it doesn’t do anything for my brightness which stays rather dim. I have installed proprietary nvidia-drivers but it stays the same. NONE of the solutions from here Brightness not working Ubuntu 20.04 Lenovo Legion 5 (15IMH05) helped.

Specs:
Nvidia driver: 470.141.03-1
GeForce GTX 1060
Kernel: 5.10.0-18-amd64
HP Omen

Any suggestions? I’m out of options here. Thank you for the help in advance!

Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file to your post.

Also, please post the output of
ls /sys/class/backlight

For whatever reason I cannot edit my post anymore, so I’ll just reply.
nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (833.7 KB)
Here’s the nvidia bug report. And the output of ls /sys/class/backlight is
~ ls /sys/class/backlight
nvidia_0

Please check for a bios update first. Also, please upgrade the driver to something more recent.

I couldn’t upgrade my bios, although I tried. IF you know how to do it, I would appreciate the help, but it seems HP doesn’t really care about such things. Also, this drivers is said to be the newest by the apt, how do I install a newer one?

The latest bios from HP seems to be F.24 Rev.A (2021) but needs Windows. You could create a Windows PE boot stick to apply it

You might add the nvidia cuda repo to get access to latest drivers.

Oh, actually upgrading drivers to 520 helped. Thank you!
