Laptop: Ubuntu 24.04 on Lenovo Legion 7 16ACHg6 (hybrid graphics with AMD and Geforce RTX 3070) with Dell WD19 dock and three external monitors.
Problem: Boot laptop with dock connected and laptop lid open, log in, then close laptop lid.
What should happen: Laptop screen turns off. Three external monitors remain on.
What actually happens: Display on external monitors is wrong. The previous screen of the laptop (different resolution to monitors), which should now be invisible, is now rendered on the left-most monitor, and the monitor screens are rendered to the right of that “laptop” screen. The cursor can be moved, but nothing else works, nothing can be clicked on etc. Re-opening the laptop lid turns on the laptop screen and restores the external monitors to working condition.
Closing the laptop lid works fine with 550.120 and 560.35.03. I’ve downgraded to both of these versions and it still works fine. It’s broken in 570.124.04 (with both kernel drivers, so this is probably a user-space issue).
