Steps to reproduce:

Software:
Linux 5.15.7
NVIDIA 495.44
Wine 7.0-rc1 (32bit)
DXVK 1.9.2 (./setup_dxvk.sh install --with-d3d10)
NVIDIA cascades demo
Xorg/X11

Hardware:
Ryzen 7 5800X
GTX 1660 Ti

Able to reproduce issue on below configuration setup -

Alienware Area-51 R6 + AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Processor + Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS + Kernel 5.4.0-81-generic + Driver 495.44 + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

Executing application Cascades.desktop results in Xid 69 error.

Bug 3479897 is file internally for tracking purpose.

Still reproducible in 510.47.03

We are still working on it, shall update once it will incorporate in new driver release.

We have done the investigation on reported issue and came to conclusion that the demo is very old and it is no longer maintained, there is no such plan for the fix.
