Building kernel sources libs: libnvv4l2

Hi,
quick question:
when modifying and building libnvv4l2 from source, do I need to rebuild the kernel?
The readme states that the built library is placed in the rootfs regardless to kernel.

Thanks

hello bsp_dev,

it’s 3rdparty utility, there’re required packages to fully build v4l-utils.
please refer to readme file for the installation steps.

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
I apologise but I’m a little bit confused.
I wish to modify the source with a fix, build it, and put it on the rootfs prior to flashing. is it possible?

hello bsp_dev,

it’s *.so file, you may simply copy that binary file to the target to apply your change.

Thank you.
