Camera can not capture streaming

During the camera driver integration process, the video device was registered successfully. But, capture frames using v4l2-ctl failed. The dmesg log indicates “request timed out after 2500 ms“,. Detailed debugging information is provided below:

It seems that you are using SerDes. So:

  1. Is this GMSL2?
  2. Have you confirmed that the stream is valid and the deserializer is outputting valid video data to the Jetson?
  3. Did you get the serdes_pix_clk_hz device tree property value as explained at Sensor Software Driver Programming — Jetson Linux Developer Guide documentation

  1. used GMSL2 , deserializer is max96712, serializer is max9295
  2. yes , read max96712 register ,the video lock and pipe lock has been set
  3. serdes_pix_clk_hz has been calculated and should be correct. The parameters for Mode 0 were provided directly by the camera manufacturer and have been successfully verified on version 7.0.

it looks there’s no validate frames has received, it must be one pair of CHANSEL_PXL_SOF/CHANSEL_PXL_EOF in the VI tracing logs to indicate a frame has detected by VI engine.

may I know how you flash this Thor platform?
just an FYI, the default Thor board configuration file, jetson-agx-thor-devkit.conf did not include CSI configurations.
for instance, jetson-agx-thor-devkit.conf -> p3834-0008-p4071-0000-nvme.conf

please dig into below to have overlay of CSI connector.
$public_sources/kernel_src/hardware/nvidia/t264/nv-public/overlay/tegra264-p3971-0000+p3834-xxxx-csi.dts
as you can see, there’s compatible property, and it only configure CSI for p3971 boards.

for instance, p3834-0008-p3971-0000.conf.

Using p3834-0008-p3971-0000.conf did not resolve the issue,no effect.

Additional info: Measured CSI0 bus; D0~D3 are toggling with data, but CLK has no waveform and is stuck at around 0.2V.

as you can see.. it support only HSB camera via QSFP slot, or USB camera on Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit.
