Can I prevent the dynamic Mrouter configuration on a MSN2010 switch?

When I connect a MSN2010 switch to another switch (using 1G connection), a dynamic Mrouter port is automatically configured. This is not wanted, as we use high bandwidth multicast using IGMP on this switch. The Mrouter port is flooded with multicast packets.

The question is how to prevent this. Can the dynamic Mrouter configuration be prevented?

Hi Antoine,

we saw that you also opened a case with the Mellanox technical support.

Yes, that is correct. This issue is picked up by tech support. The automatic dynamic Mrouter port configuration cannot be switched off at the moment. This will be added in a future firmware update release.
