Can I turn off reflection on RTX and is it affect on the simulation speed?

Hi. I’m trying to speed-up my simulation.

Using isaacsim profiler (shortcut F8), I found that reflection features consume almost 30% of the computation time.
Can I turn it off? and will it speed up my simulations?

currently, my simulation with deformable object shows 20~30 fps.

Here is my profiler result.

Thanks!

Yes you can turn off reflections and translucency and this speeds up simulations a lot without causing any problems that we could see.

On the right side of the Isaac Sim window, select the “Render Settings” tab, then scroll down to see the checkboxes for “reflections” and “translucency”. You can uncheck them and it immediately speeds up the fps
