# can i use DeepStream for handling CCTV (RTSP) stream?

Hello,

After googling and read a little about DeepStream.  
My question is, can i use DS for handling CCTV stream?  
i will use it for my realtime object detection application…

so far my problem is my app directly consume the cctv stream.  
i used openCV for capture the video frame (video capture)

Hi,  
RTSP source is supported. Please check [source group](https://docs.nvidia.com/metropolis/deepstream/dev-guide/index.html#page/DeepStream%2520Development%2520Guide%2Fdeepstream_app_config.3.2.html%23wwpID0E0QB0HA)

You can set type=4 and uri in [sourceX]and try. A few config files for your reference:
