Can NX support 4Kp60 video encoding?

Dear NV team,

Per NX datasheet, it supports 2x 4K@30 (YUV420) video encoding, while from the NV Jetson developer guide (Welcome — Jetson Linux<br/>Developer Guide 34.1 documentation), the SW encoding can support 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps up to 120 Mbps.

Does this mean the SW driver combines the two encoder to one so as to support 4K60 encoding? As a conclusion, NX can support 4K@60 video encoding?

Thanks.

Hi,
The data in developer guide is not correct. It should be 4Kp30(2x) as listed in module data sheet. There are two hardware encoding engines in Xavier NX and each one can achieve 4Kp30. It cannot combine to provide 4Kp60.

Hi DaneLLL,
Thanks for the confirmation!
