Hi NV experts.

Can the input image and resolution differ from the resolution of the encoded video stream when using an encoder for encoding?

The original image resolution is 1920 × 1216, the resolution of the encoded video stream is 720x480, but there is a problem with the resolution after encoding.

Dear @liuq1,
Could you share more details about it? If possible can you share input and config file for checking?

Hi @SivaRamaKrishnaNV
The file is listed below.

Thanks.

Dear @liuq1,
but there is a problem with the resolution after encoding.

Did you see any error or unexpected/unusual output?

@SivaRamaKrishnaNV
The input image is 1920*1216 yuv420

Dear @liuq1,
Are you using nvmimg_enc sample. If so, could you please share config file and input file for reproduce the issue. I am still not clear what is the issue here? Do you see output resolution is different than values in config file or output image looks bad?

Hi @SivaRamaKrishnaNV
We are not using the nvmimg_enc sample. The problem is, the input image is 1920*1216, we set the output resolution is 720x480. The output image is abnormal. The output image appears to be only a part of the pre encoded image.

Dear @liuq1,
May I know why you are not using nvmimg_enc sample? Could you give a try with nvmimg_enc sample as well?
