Hi
Currently im trying to enable four usb 2.0 cameras with 320 * 240 * 30hz (mjpeg) on a Jetosn Orin AGX 64gb.
The total bandwith is definitely below 480mbps,even the raw image bandwidth is 320 *240 *30 /1024/1024*4=26.36MB, unconsidering the image is encoded as mjpeg
When I connect more than 2 cameras, I got error on kernel log: No enough bandwidth for new device state.
I dont thinks its an matter with bandwidth, any other reason may cause this issue?
Hi,
If you use AGX Orin developer kit, we would suggest shift the camera to the type-C port, as suggested:
USB Port bandwidth limitation - #8 by DaneLLL
If a USB2 device is connected, the total bandwidth is only 480Mbps. Here is a related topic:
What is total USB bandwith of the 4 USB ports? - #3 by DaneLLL
I have to use four usb2.0 camera , which are with a very low resolution.
Just wanna ask if there are other cases, that multi usb cameras are somehow not well supported on orin platform
We also tried to load 4 usb2.0 camera on a 1to4 usb3 hub, connect to agx orin on typec port, and can only maxiumly connect 2 camera.
Although caneras are mounted on 480Mb roothub, but bandwidth is enough.
Only two hubs (one Type-C, one USB) with each connecting two cameras can simultaneously enable four cameras.
