Carrier Board Design Issue for PMIC_BBATT

Hi,

I am going through carrier board design and found 3V3_AO and BAT_CON_LIM are shorted to each other. see attached image-

since R1080 and R998 both are mounted, what is the use of D34 which is used for ORING purpose.

Please refer to the concept schematic in the package. Both resistors are not mounted.
