Hi All,
I am using the Jetson Nano carrier board and find that the ethernet connector has a CGND connection that is connected to GND using 0 ohm resistors.
I just wish to ask if this is a mandatory requirement or can i connect the ethernet connector GND with pcb GND ?

Those are 0.05ohm resistor and 100pF capacitor which are necessary.
yes what is the reason for having them ?

Resistors are option. Capacitor is must (if chassis gnd is used for screening) to control common-mode interference between signal gnd and chassis gnd.
thanks can you please elaborate on what do mean by “if chassis gnd is used for screening” ?

Means in general the ethernet cable is shielded by CGND layer.
