I recently purchased a new ASUS Zephyrus G16 and I am trying to install ChatRTX, but the installer fails immediately after the system check with the error: “ChatRTX is not supported on your system.”
My System Specifications:
Laptop Model: ASUS Zephyrus G16 (2025)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU (16GB VRAM)
RAM: 64 GB
OS: Windows 11 Pro (Version 24H2)
Storage: Sufficient free space available on NVMe SSD.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Verified that Windows 11 is updated to Version 24H2.
Performed a Clean Install of the latest NVIDIA Game Ready Driver (Version 591.74) via the manual download from the NVIDIA website (selected “Notebooks” series).
Confirmed the GPU is recognized in Task Manager and Device Manager.
Ensured the laptop is in “Ultimate/Standard” GPU mode (MUX Switch) via Armoury Crate/G-Helper to bypass the iGPU.
Despite meeting and exceeding the system requirements, the installer does not recognize the hardware. Has anyone else experienced this with the new RTX 50-series mobile GPUs? Is there a specific driver or installer version required for the 5080
