We are currently in the process of evaluating Nvidia hardware-based encoders to replace our current software-based encoding system. One blocking issue that has come up is that while the x264 GStreamer plugin does support closed captioning the h264 encoder in the nvcodecs plugin does not. Are there plans to implement SEI based closed captions for Nvidia based encoders?
