Compatibility Check: Intenso NVMe M.2 SSD for Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit

Hello everyone,

I am planning to purchase the “NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit” and I need to buy a compatible NVMe SSD for it.

Since I am based in Italy, I found the following SSD available at a local distributor (RS Components), and I would like to confirm if it is fully compatible with the Orin Nano carrier board before purchasing.

Here are the details:
Device: Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit 8GB
SSD Model: Intenso Top Performance M.2 SSD
Specs: PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe, Form Factor 2280

SSD: https://it.rs-online.com/web/p/hard-disk/2676410

Could someone please confirm if this specific SSD meets the requirements and works well with the Orin Nano?

Thank you for your help.

I cannot comment specifically on that part number but the specs above are a good match for the Orin Nano.

Per Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit Carrier Board Specification section 2.5, you can use the J11 connector for a x4 interface. Note that the “Gen4” mentioned in that spec applies to Orin NX, whereas Orin Nano supports up to Gen3. This limitation is not reflected in the Jetson Orin Nano Series Module Data Sheet v1.5 on the Download Center, which should be updated soon to v1.6 showing Gen3.

I appreciate your help. I need to know if this Jetson Nano development kit with 8 GB RAM is enough to use local models to generate images or videos?
