Configure TX1/Broadcom chip to test mode

Hi
We are using Jetson TX1 integrated with a Broadcom BCM4354XKUBG Wi-Fi / BT solution. How to configure TX1/Broad com chip to test mode. After configuring to test mode, How to enable/disable transmit burst?

Previously we tested WIFI and BT between two boards . Now we are going to put broad com in test mode and to test WIFI and BT by enabling/disabling transmit burst?

To configure broad com in test mode also for enabling/disabling transmit burst, is there any kind of register settings, if yes how to configure that?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi mohanprasath_12,

According to your description, it sounds you want to configure your chip into mfg mode, right??

Hi Wayne,

Yes Wayne. As you said we are trying to configure in mfg mode. Can you provide inputs on how to configure Broadcom BCM4354XKUBG in mfg mode?

For more clarification, again i am re-mentioning the requirement below,

Broadcom BCM4354XKUBG should be configured in TEST mode(MFG mode)
How to enable/disable transmit burst?

Could you please update us, whether the above requirement can be tested in MFG Mode?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi mohanprasath_12,

Sorry for the late reply.

The Jetson TX1 module is pre-certified and you need to follow the integration guidelines(Jetson TX1 OEM Wireless Compliance Guide, v1.0, 2016/07/22,https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/dlc/Jetson-TX1-OEM-Wireless-Compliance-Guide ) if you want to use the wireless on the module.
The wireless on the module cannot re-configured or re-certified by the customers.

Thanks

Your answer is most unhelpful. Understand that the module is pre-certified, but if we are selecting a new antenna to meet the guidelines specified in the document, then test mode would be useful to verify the antenna performance.
Are you saying the module cannot be put into test mode, or are you just refusing to give out instructions to use test mode?

You said that the wireless on the module cannot be re-configured or re-certified by the customers. If that’s the case, then why does the Wireless compliance guide you linked to say this on page 4:

“Note: In the case where the host and module combination has been re-certified the FCC ID shall appear in the product manual.”

Why would it say this if it cannot be re-certified?

Dennis

Hi dmillard,

The final product may have more than one radio equipment and as such the company will do its own FCC certification for the end product and in that case they need to include the FCC Id of the Jetson in the product manual.

Thanks
