Connecting Omniverse Composer to Ansys EnSight

I’m having trouble using Omniverse Composer with EnSight. This is because, to use the EnSight’s license, I need to connect to my company’s network/VPN. However, this network doesn’t allow connection to my Nucleus service/localhost, so I’m not able to establish the connection between Omniverse and EnSight.

How can I deal with this problem? If I use some other PC to host an Omniverse Server, will I be able to connect to this server with my company’s network/VPN from my work PC?

Yes I can see this as a problem. You do not even need to use Omniverse Nucleus unless you are trying to use LIVE workflow. Simply don’t use it and use EnSight to export the files to USD or something Composer can read. Again, Nucleus is not required to use Omniverse. I don’t use it. I just store files normally on my drive.

Thank you for your reply Richard.
But I only have the EnSight 2024 R1 version, that don’t have support for Omniverse directly inside the application, so I can’t export the files to USD from EnSight, I need to use the Composer to do that.

Well the program must export something Composer reads. We read almost every cad file possible. Step, IGES, 3DS, FBX. Just find one of those.

I am not saying don’t use Composer. I am just saying there is no need to use Nucleus. It offers no benefit here.
