How do I go about gaining access to it?
I have applied for a support account, but am not sure that will get anywhere.

How would I go about obtaining one?
If your company is a Mellanox customer with a Design-in profile, then someone in your company must already have such an account and a Mellanox assigned field engineer.
If not, then you’ll need to engage with Mellanox Support to start the process.

Out of curiosity, what are you porting the driver to?
Mac OS X.
