we will move from a pure FDR fabric to a mixed EDR/FDR fabric. All spine switches and some leaf switches will become EDR, plus a few hosts’ HCA. I wonder whether there are any special considerations to take into account for a mixed EDR/FDR fabric.
We expect that the total aggregated throughput will show the new EDR links between spine and leaf while the single nodes with FDR HCA stay at FDR, of course. I.e. I expect that we can saturate the EDR links as long as we have enough FDR hosts/switches connected.
Right, or are things more complicated?
