Constant Xorg freezes (EQ overflows)

Hi. I have been getting a lot of xorg freezes which renders my system unusable except for my mouse, and I have to do a hard power off to kill it. Normally it seemed to happen most often with firefox or mplayer with vdpau, but just recently happened within a terminal.

My system is:

-ZOTAC GTS 450 AMP Edition (Nvidia driver 331.20)
-Xorg server 1.14
-Slackware 14.1 (3.10 kernel)
-XFCE desktop (no compositing)

So I should try patching the xorg server to raise the mieq size?

EDIT: I haven’t had issues like this ever on previous versions of Slackware and then I get them all the time now. It seems odd that it wouldn’t be a driver related issue, unless something dramatically changed with xorg or the kernel.

EDIT 2: Also the xorg freeze/lockup used to predictably happen during initial launch of firefox, though it would be open fine ~19/20 times. I have since disabled hardware acceleration in firefox and I don’t think it’s happened again with firefox but it may just be luck, don’t know. Now that the EQ overflow xorg freeze happened from just a terminal, I’m a lot more concerned and it appears to be a larger problem than I anticipated.
