Could not detect a board

Hi! I am running into the following issue after an accident: cannot enter detect on SDK manager, fan not running, noticeable heat.

Context of accident:

Orin has a Blackmagic video intensity 4k plugged into its PCIe slot. Due to an accident this got dislodged in the middle of usage. System was turned off and unplugged from power and Blackmagic plugged back in. System was plugged back in but would not start (1 blink of white led and then back to black when power button pressed). Next day I was able to plug in the orin and get power (consistent white LED) however I am unable to detect the Orin when I go into force recovery (“No target hardware” on SDK Manger, lsusb shows nothing, and Windows Device Manager does not detect).

Not sure how to proceed.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please make sure the flashing cable is connected on the side opposite the power barrel.

Thanks

Hi!

Yes it is connected on the opposing side. I have tried both the USB-C and Micro-USB with Minicom following this. I cannot detect the device with lsusb or Minicom (nothing seen on /dev/ttyACM0).

Thanks!

Hi,

We notice that Windows Device Manager are in your mention.

Are you using a wsl or virtual machine?

If yes, please prepare a native ubuntu instead.

Thanks

I have used both native ubuntu and windows

Hi,

Please take a picture for us to review.

Thanks

There’s not much to show - see link. I have attached a video showing that the light flashes then turns dark upon power connection. The same thing happens if I press the power button. I’m unable to detect the device whatsoever when I’m connected to it via several devices (Ubuntu laptop, Windows laptop).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Is there any serial console output when the device is powered on?

If not, please proceed with the RMA process.

Thanks

There is no serial console output when the device is powered on. Thank you, I will initiate the RMA
