I was just looking through the source on the PyCuda0.91 release (excellent package by the way). One of the things that I like about the package is that it allows for runtime compilation of device code. I know this has come up on the thread more than once.
My question is: Has anyone looked into creating a CPP class that encapsulates loading modules from *.cubin files? One could then load functions, textures, etc.
You could then have a library of *.cubin files precompiled and load as needed.
This also seams like a step towards runtime compilation of device code. The other step being something responsible for the actual compilation.
