Create wifi hotspot via wifi adapter ( TL-WN725N )

Hi,

due to our product certification, we need to create hotspot with wifi adapter instead of using bcmdhd module.
therefore, i disable bcmdhd module.

while i create hotspot with nmcli command. it show below error.

I have checked the adapter is mounted and i could also connect to other APs with this dongle. but i can’t create hostspot.

please help me to create hotspot with wifi adapter.
or is there any way to create hostspot but without enable bcmdhd module?

BTW, i also follow Setting up wifi Access Point on TX1 - #4 by readonly, but not work.

My L4T info is
R32 (release), REVISION: 1.0, GCID: 14531094, BOARD: t186ref, EABI: aarch64, DATE: Wed Mar 13 07:41:08 UTC 2019

Hi，

I’m afraid you need to check if TL-Wn725n support AP mode first.

Wether the wifi can working a Hotspot:

  1. It support AP mode in HW. You can check with vendor or its documents.
  2. The system is ready to support the Hotspot with the right driver. You can check with iw list

Strong recommend to check with vendor for further information and support.
