.cu minimal rebuild can "minimal rebuild" feature be used for cuda files?

Hello.
Minimal rebuild is a feature in Visual Studio. If some cpp files depend by a header and this header is modified, then all dependent cpp files are recompiled and not the entire project. How to set this features for cuda .cu files?
This option can be founded in project properties, Configuration Properties->C/C+±>Code generation->Enable Minimal Rebuild.

I guess you use the CUDA build rule?

For VS2008 go to Configuration Properties->CUDA Build Rule v3.0.0->Hybrid CUDA/C++ Options

In ‘Extra C++ Options’, add /Gm

The full list of compiler flags is found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/19z1t1wy.aspx.

I’ve got the same problem, except I’m not using CUDA build rule but Qt’s qmake system

Here is my command line :

‘"(CUDA_BIN_PATH)/nvcc.exe"' -arch sm_10 -ccbin '"(VISUALDIR)/VC/bin"’ -use_fast_math -Xcompiler “/Gm,/Zi,/EHsc,/W3,/nologo,/Od,/MT” -maxrregcount=32 -ptx -o PATH_TO_OUTPUT_FILE INPUT_FILE

But this does not make visual create the needed *.idb files. Does someone see where I’m wrong ?
