Hi guys,
I am trying to install CUDA 3.0 on Windows 7 64 bit, with Nvidia GT230 512 MB. But the latest driver required for CUDA 197.10 doesnt install. Has anyone encountered any similar problem. Does CUDA 3.0 support gt230?

My answer: It should, but maybe nVidia forgot to add this device ID in the nvdisp.inf file that accompanies the driver. You can do it manually, but Windows will then warn you that you are about to install an unsigned driver.
Thank you for the reply :-)
the driver which i downloaded from nvidia is just the install shield installer, from where can i extract the nvdisp.inf file?
Most NVIDIA drivers first unzip a folder into C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\xxx.yy and then execute setup.exe inside.
Hi Abhi,
Is this the developer driver from developer.nvidia.com, or is it the production driver from Official Drivers | NVIDIA ?

The notebook developer driver at the CUDA 3.0 download page. version 197.1x
You mentioned 197.10 in your original post; have you tried the 197.16 driver posted at Official Drivers | NVIDIA for notebooks since last week?
yups tried with 197.16 it fails…
@cbuchner1 i cudnt find any specific file nvdisp.inf, there are many inf files though…
